Prince Kuhio is Donald Takayama's favorite glider! Inspired by the outer reefs of the south coast of Oahu in Hawaii, this longboard is able to noseride and turn like a shorter board in size. With a DT-1 rocker, regulars of other Takayama boards will feel very comfortable on the Prince Kuhio. The medium rocker makes paddling easy and easy to surf. Donald's patented 60/40 rails and tucked edge help make this board very forgiving in turns. Available in a 3 fin configuration, it can be used as a single fin or a 2+1 depending on the style of the surfer.

About Takayama
Donald Takayama was a world famous surfboard shaper from Hawaii. He was considered one of the most influential shapers in surfing history and worked with many professional surfers throughout his career.
Takayama has created iconic deck designs such as the In The Pink and the Scorpion , which are still very popular today.
He has also been inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame and is a member of the International Surfboard Builders' Guild Hall of Fame.
Takayama sadly passed away in 2012, but his surfing legacy continues to inspire shapers and surfers everywhere.
