• Rick the Costa Rican: Born in Oahu, Rick moved to Maui when he was 5 years old. He grew up surfing in Hanalei Bay. His father, Waikiki Woodie, took his family to Costa Rica when Rick was 12. Although he was disappointed to leave Hawaii at first, Rick ended up loving Costa Rica even more. He now lives in Playa Avellana and says it's the best place in the world to surf.

• Balinese Bobbi: Born in the Philippines as Roberta, Bobbi learned to surf at "The Park" in Real, Quezon. Discovered as a young talent by Surf City Sally, she spent all her holidays in Baler in Bali. Now she lives in Cocoa Beach, Florida with her friends Sumatra Sam and her grommets.

• Duke the Irishman: Hailing from Bundoran Beach, Ireland's surfing capital, Duke loves to surf in cold waters because "she's faster on the ice, man!" He is friends with Hossegor Hank and is often seen with him and Sumatra Sam at Cyclops and other beaches in Australia.

• Kahanu the Hawaiian: Born and raised in Hawaii, Kahanu is an experienced surfer who overcame many challenges to become a professional surfer. He is highly respected in the surf community.

• French Nani : Born in Hossegor, Nani is passionate and creative. She is also an accomplished surfer who has surfed waves all over the world.
