About Takayama
Donald Takayama was a world famous surfboard shaper from Hawaii. He was considered one of the most influential shapers in surfing history and worked with many professional surfers throughout his career.
Takayama has created iconic deck designs such as the In The Pink and the Scorpion , which are still very popular today.
He has also been inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame and is a member of the International Surfboard Builders' Guild Hall of Fame.
Takayama sadly passed away in 2012, but his surfing legacy continues to inspire shapers and surfers everywhere.
